aka 'The Almond Slice'

I visited the dentist today. It was a very enjoyable experience..

..Dum de dum..

Oh! You want me to tell you about it? Okay..

Well, he sat me down in the chair, and then informed me that a lot of his patients feel more relaxed when he plays music during the whole procedure..

'Okay' I said. So he disappeared off behind me for a few moments and flicked a switch.

As he returned into view, the unmistakable sound of the Bee Gees greeted my ears. It was 'Saturday Night Fever' I believe.

Anyway, he started the oral examination, and I noticed that he was nodding his head slightly in time to the music. I in turn began to tap my foot..

All of a sudden, the beat of the music took hold, and I leaped out of my chair, turned and looked the dentist straight in the eye. He knew what I wanted, and I could tell he wanted it too. In fact, he had no choice..!

We grooved!

After a few minutes of pelvic thrusting, rythmic pointing and other cliched 70's dance moves, we were interrupted by his receptionist. She looked at us both in shock, but the stench of funk was far too much for her, and she grooved too!

All of a sudden, the walls and ceiling of the surgery lifted magically into the air and we were transported to an authentic 70's disco! Then John Travolta walked up to me! And then.. And then..

And then the gas wore off and I awoke in the dentists chair. He'd done quite a nice job on my teeth. I was very pleased.
